Tracing a Missing Person
1. Family, friends or caregiver should be contacted to alert them that the person is missing. The following steps are helpful in locating the person.
2. Check with places the person frequents.
3. Within a period of time, if the person has not been traced, notify the appropriate authorities and mental health professionals.
4. Those with the most recent information should be prepared to give those looking for the person a full description of the person such as what clothes were worn, physical attributes, age, diagnosis, etc.
