“A Time of Healing”
Sabbaths of Hope is a mental health literacy initiative that enables clergy and other faith leaders to recognize types and symptoms of depression, provide referral and linkage to treatment options, and offer more effective support to congregants suffering from depression and other mental health challenges.
Get involved and join the movement on
Saturday, May 20 – Sunday, May 21, 2017
We encourage faith communities to consider doing the following:
- Wear lime green or a green ribbon in solidarity to raise awareness about mental illness and post pictures on social media feed.
- Integrate mental health awareness in sermon, sacred text readings and other liturgy components.
- Setup a resource table with information on depression and other mental health topics.
