August Leadership Forum Webinar – Dr. Kanika A. Turner
August 14 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
The Opioid Crisis: Acknowledge. Apologize. Activate. A call to action for faith-based communities with Dr. Kanika A Turner.
Many families across the country are being impacted by the Opioid Crisis, which is not a new phenomenon to communities of color. For years, minorities have been disproportionately affected and more likely to be criminalized. There is a call to action to change cultural dynamics of substance use and understand it as a treatable chronic disease. Faith based communities are crucial in helping to increase access to treatment and recovery services.
